Generate the bibliography by clicking Insert Bibliography. Would be nice if mendeley can also integrate with WPS Office. Additional styles may be added to your list of installed styles. You can select your preferred citation style in the drop down menu. Just hold the Ctrl key and left click the documents you want to cite. Then select the document in Mendeley Desktop, and click Cite in the Mendeley Desktop Toolbar.Īgain, you can cite multiple documents. Scopus, in particular, requests the user to login to an Elsevier account when the user attempts to login to Mendeley. This may complicate exporting citations from their databases directly to Mendeley Web. The company Elsevier (which publishes the ScienceDirect, Scopus and Engineering Village databases) is in the process of linking older Mendeley accounts to their own system. Can't export citations plus your personal notes.Can't search text of annotations (and in web version, text in notes is also not searched).Those users should consider purchasing the EndNote software. I can now use the plugin as before and also open and edit old documents. Both Mendeley Web and Desktop are NOT accessible to screen readers for the blind/low vision (JAWS, NVDA). Instead, I started Mendeley and installed the plugin via Tools->'Install MS WOrd plugin'.

Mac Users who have OS Sierra and High Sierra may need to download an older version of Mendeley (version 1.16.3 - see here ) for it to work on your machines. However, you can copy citations from Mendeley Desktop and paste them into your Google doc. You cannot use Mendeley Web or Mendeley Desktop with Google Docs. 
Place your cursor in the Word document at the point where youd like to insert the citation, and add a space so your references dont get smushed. Well choose American Psychological Association.

You cannot use Mendeley Web with MS Word on Mac computers, but you CAN use it with MS Word on Windows machines using the "Export to MS Word" button. To insert a citation using the Mendeley plug-in, first select a style from the dropdown menu by clicking on the arrow. Please contact for assistance with resolving this problem. Some users at WMU may also experience problems with receiving or accepting invitations to join Mendeley groups. This may have something to do with WMU's email addresses. 
Some users at WMU may experience login problems either in Mendeley Web or desktop. You should be aware of the following shortcomings: While Mendeley (particularly the desktop application) is quite good as a reference management system, it does have its limitations.
